Robin’s Safety Guide

Updated: 18/01/2026

Your safety matters to us. Robin’s Hunt takes place in real, open outdoor environments, so preparation, awareness, and respect for nature are essential. This guide is designed to help you enjoy the adventure responsibly while minimizing risks to yourself, others, and the environment.

Before You Go

  • Share your plans.
Let a trusted friend or family member know where you are searching and when you expect to return. This simple step is one of the most effective safety measures you can take.

  • Check your email carefully.
When the countdown ends, read your location and clue information thoroughly before setting off.

  • Plan your search.
Consider travel time, daylight hours, and how long you realistically intend to spend searching.

About Robin’s Hunt Locations

  • The treasure is always hidden in publicly accessible areas.

  • We will never place gold in locations that require dangerous climbing, extreme hiking, or trespassing.

  • Some public lands may have other activities taking place (e.g., dog walking, cycling, wildlife conservation areas). Always remain respectful and alert.

Outdoor Safety & Smart Exploring

Be Aware of Your Surroundings

Always keep an eye out for:

  • Uneven ground, loose rocks, or slippery surfaces

  • Steep banks, cliffs, or deep water

  • Dense vegetation, brambles, or hidden obstacles

Dress and Prepare Appropriately

We strongly recommend:

  • Sturdy, waterproof footwear

  • Weather-appropriate clothing (rain jacket, layers if needed)

  • Water and snacks

  • A charged mobile phone

  • A basic first aid kit

  • A portable power bank if you plan to search for several hours

Weather Matters

  • Check the forecast before you leave.

  • Avoid searching in dangerous conditions such as storms, lightning, extreme heat, or high winds.

  • Remember: the hunt proceeds regardless of weather, but your safety always comes first.

Wildlife and Nature Awareness

  • Stick to paths where possible.

  • Avoid disturbing wildlife, nests, or natural habitats.

  • Be cautious around long grass or dense bushes.

  • Respect all local park or forest rules.

No Trespassing

  • All clues and treasures are located in publicly accessible areas only.

  • Do not enter private property, fenced areas, restricted zones, or unsafe locations.

Respect the Environment – Leave No Trace

Help keep our parks and forests beautiful:

  • Take all litter home with you

  • Do not damage plants, trees, or property

  • Avoid digging or moving large objects

  • Leave nature exactly as you found it

Searching with Others

  • Hunting with a friend or family member is encouraged when possible.

  • If you bring children, ensure they are supervised at all times.

If You Find the Gold

  • Stay calm and aware of your surroundings.

  • Do not put yourself at risk while retrieving the prize.

  • Be mindful of other participants and members of the public nearby.

  • Follow any instructions provided with the prize.

Stay Safe, Have Fun

Robin’s Hunt is meant to be exciting, fair, and memorable. By being prepared, staying alert, and respecting your surroundings, you help make every hunt safe and enjoyable for everyone.
